I was born in Kenya and raised in Southern Africa where I grew up with a true appreciation for the beauty of the African continent and her people. With environmental portraiture at the core of my practice, I aim to expose and discuss, evolving nature of culture in all its forms. The projects are typically focused on people, choosing them either vocationally or by a community.

The style references that of editorial and magazine spread imagery, sometimes using auxiliary lighting on site – with my presence being felt both in the community and in the photograph itself.

This technique creates unique, unexpected moments - furthering a collaborative feeling between subject and photographer. Creativity is displayed onsite by relating, respecting, and collaborating with the people I photograph.
